It collects the lost men’s adventure magazine stories of Lawrence Block, presented complete and uncut for the first time, with the original interior illustrations reprinted in black-and-white.

These stories first appeared in men’s adventure magazines in the 1950s and 1960s, long before Lawrence Block became one of the most widely read, respected, and celebrated writers of crime and mystery fiction in the world. Some of the stories were originally published under his own name, some under pseudonyms.

The book includes a special introduction written by Lawrence Block, three long “Book Bonus” mystery stories featuring Block’s first Private Investigator character Ed London (“The Naked and the Deadly”, “Stag Party Girl” and “Twin Call Girls”), and two Book Bonuses featuring his unique insomniac action/adventure anti-hero Evan Tanner.

Other stories are examples of the type of wild action/adventure yarns, exposés and “sexposés” featured in vintage men’s adventure magazines.

There are also explanatory introductions and sidebars about Block and the men’s adventure mag genre written by co-editors Wyatt Doyle and Robert Deis.
